Moonlight Blogger Award

Thanks Amy at A New Life, for this awesome new award nomination! Your blog is like a breath of fresh air, just like the “New Life” God gave us, the day He filled us with His powerful Spirit! You are an inspiration and testament to God’s Amazing Grace! Your posts “move” me, and I’m pretty sure others feel it, too!

Here are the guidelines:

1. Thank the person who presented you with the award.

2. Display the original award image as your featured image and include it in your post.

3. Copy and paste the meaning of the award:

The meaning of the Moonlight Blogger Award, created byPurple Rose andDollfaced Writer, is to recognize bloggers who illuminate the lives of their readers. The bloggers presented with this award pour their passion into the content they share with their readers, who are deeply inspired. This award acknowledges the impact of their written words as they have the power to illuminate the darkest of places, just like the moonlight.

4. Answer the five prompts listed.

5. Present the award to one person.

Here are the prompts:

1. Share one thing you love about yourself that you wouldn’t change.

My unconditional love for people. People need to know that they are loved in spite of their flaws. Beauty comes from within, outward beauty fades away. It has always been my heart to love as Jesus loves others and loves me.

2. Share two of your favorite quotes: I don’t really have favorites, but I found these that I really like!

3. Give 3 reasons why you write:

It makes me happy.

I feel like it’s the one thing in the world that I love to do. I have put it on the back burner for so long, because there were and still are some in my life that made/make me feel that writing wasn’t/isn’t good enough. That I must have a career to be important.🙂

And because I want to touch the world.

4. Give 4 pieces of advice for other bloggers

Let God lead you to write in the way He moves on you to write.

There are some stories you cannot write completely, because it’s not your story to write. But you can write your part in the way God allows you to.

Be creative in the ways that make you happy. Don’t worry if it’s not good enough for anyone else.

Be yourself. Sometimes fluffy words are not what needs to be expressed, but from the heart words are the best! Hey that rhymed! 😲

5. List 5 things/places/people that inspire you and wrote why you chose them.

God and His Word. He is the wings that cover me. His Word lights my path, and He orders my steps.

My Happy Place–My back porch. Because it’s where I feel closest to God! And a place I can have coffee with Him, talk with Him and read devotions.

Family. We may not be rich in worldly goods, but we are rich in love for each other. That includes my Church/Church family–It has been a hospital to me. I find fellowship and family there.

My fellow bloggers/community here. Your fellowship and posts encourage and give me hope.

Nature. It gives me peace. I feel God speaks to me in His perfect Creation.

I am giving this award to Debbie at Bee Tree Gathering.

Debbie, you are the wind beneath my wings! I will always be grateful for your encouragement in my lowest moments! Your heart-felt beauty and life-changing posts, wisdom, humor, beauty inside and out, prayers and listening ear is a rare trait in this world! I could go on and on! Always shine for Jesus!

There are so many out there who I hope will get this award soon, as well! God Bless!

  3. Hey! I’m happy to meet another writer who writes purely for the passion of the act itself. I feel the same way, it moves me and it’s my therapy. I may not believe in God or a religion really, but I do allow the “Universe” to work it’s way through me in my writing, so perhaps we just think of it differently. I also hope to help others through my writing in ways. Pleased to meet you, and congrats on your award. 🙂
