That made me think for a moment of the wee little green people of Ireland! (Spoken with an Irish accent in my head) Who knows, as short as I am, I may be a distant descendant of one! 🍀🍄🍀🍄🍀

Do you ever find yourself falling a tad “short” some days? Personally, I find myself falling a tad short EVERY single day of the week! 😂 At the towering height of 4’11,” I’m in this predicament more often than not!🤷‍♀️🤪🤣

Who else can say they can perch off the edge of a sheet of notebook paper and dangle their legs over but me?!! If you’ve been around any length of days, you may have heard that ancient song sung by Randy Newman called Short People–about us shortcakes. The lyrics still crack me up to this day!😂 Especially the part about nasty little feet! 😳😱

Furthermore, I could not count the many times through the years that someone has felt the need to sing me a few lines. 🤦‍♀️ 😂

Still and all, its ok finding ourselves falling a tiny bit short in the physical sense of things, yet it’s in our spiritual awareness that we find that falling short doesn’t feel so good at all! Nope! Not at all!

Have you ever found yourself praying this kind of prayer before?

🙄 Hey it’s me again, Lord!…..Hello?…..I’m down here…….(waves 👋 hand) Can you see me? I know I’m a little on the short side….but, well, I know I just called you a few minutes ago….But….I’m….well….like… knocking again….Just in case you got busy and forgot….💁🏼‍♀️ Maybe you just couldn’t hear me the first time?…..Is this mike on?……I will just turn the volume up a little….

I was doing just fine kicked back in my “Comfort Zone” with this warm fuzzy, comfy blanket!” I just wanted to sit here and rest awhile. You know I’m tired, Lord. And I don’t LIKE what’s happening to me right now AT ALL!!!! 🥺😭☹️…..(*silence….a pin drops…)…….Well, I guess I will say Amen for now Lord!

Oh, the sweet remembrance of that safe “Comfort Zone!” And the Whoosh!☀️💨🌧⛈💧💦☔️💥💥💫⚡️⚡️☄️🌪 🌊 of the fiery dart sailing through the air right before it meets its target. 🎯💣🧨💘 Knocked me clean right out of my comfy chair! Boy did that arrow hurt when it shot me straight to the heart!💘

How did this happen? I should have seen it coming right?

Wait on the Lord today. He WILL arise! He will take care of that situation! He is your help and your shield. Tell your heart to rejoice, because you have trusted in his Holy name. You will get the victory! His mercy will be upon you my friend, because you have put your hope in Him! He loves you way too much to leave you in that comfort zone!

  6. That’s funny. I’m 6’1″ and I can’t tell you how many times short people have asked me to get things for them off the upper shelves at the store.😂 It never bothers me, so don’t be afraid to ask us tall guys for help. Same thing happens to me on airplanes. I have huffed a lot of luggage for people out of the overhead bins.😂 God bless!

  8. Hilariously, funny post! Today, I saw a short lady at Aldi’s climbing into one of the upright refrigerators and standing on the ledge of the bottom shelf to reach the top shelf! A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do to get the job done😂

  12. Yeah, I can relate to being short… I’m 5’1…. I hate being short….😭

    It was all funny and then you took a Spiritual side to this post and read me like a book….

    I want out of this trial! I’m done. I can’t take the fighting anymore. I’m at the end of my rope.

    Friday there was another big fight in my family and I was the cause… yet again… I can’t do anything but fail…. I spent the night at one of my friends house Friday night and I broke down and just cried. I couldn’t handle the pain anymore I had to cry. Everyone was asleep so it make it better. Lol. But I’m ready for church today. I have so much on me right now I can’t walk another step… that’s why I’m ready for church! I need my Jesus!!

  13. Oh V, I’m so sorry you are going through all this!! It seems the enemy is using our own families to discourage and hurt us in these last days at times! When we think we can’t go on, we steal away and PRAY! A lot of times I have learned if I just ‘don’t say a word’, let them do their ranting and then just ‘walk away’ afterwards and go pray somewhere. The Lord fights the battle for me. Sometimes all we can do is go CRY somewhere because sandpaper people can be terribly cruel and hurtful. It’s so important to STAY POSITIVE! Speak and PRAY positive SCRIPTURES to combat that enemy. People or family are not the enemy. We are fighting principalities and rulers of darkness. Cast those concerns on God! He really is listening. Even when we don’t hear from Him at times, there is a purpose to it all. I will pray for you right now! And continue to. Have church in the morning girl!!! Don’t worry what anyone else thinks. YOU set the example for your Youth. If you are the only one worshipping, do it! Throw those hands up and worship. These are the ways we fight our battles! Much love Baby Girl! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
