Fall Down Seven Times, Stand Up Eight

After seeing a post that Stu shared, it reminded me that I still had this unfinished post in my drafts….just floating around in limbo…So here ya go…😆

There is a very wise Japanese proverb that says, “Nana korobi, ya oki” which means, “Fall down seven times, stand up eight.”

We WILL fall! Make no bones about it. This flesh cannot be counted upon. We will sin at times. When I would do good, evil is present with me.

😂🤣😂

We WILL make mistakes! Our enemies (flesh, world, devil) will trip us up when we least expect it….BUT……

“Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.”
‭‭Micah‬ ‭7:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We WILL get discouraged! And yes, we will be a discouragement to others. It’s a sad fact.

But greater than this truth is an even greater reality….

GOD WILL STILL LOVE US ANYWAY!

In spite of our weaknesses, faults or any kind of failures we will ever have. He keeps on forgiving. And so should we. Strive to walk in His steps.

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Ask for forgiveness when you “FLUB-UP.”

Most people do want to show the same mercy that they have been shown from God. It may take time if the knife cut a little too deep, but it’s nothing a couple of stitches of repentance and setting our pride aside won’t fix!

—Give it time. And Never, Ever give up HOPE or your JOY—

There’s JOY in falling down, Says no person ever!!!

Get back up. Dust the seat of your derrière off. Try and try again.

“Nana korobi, ya oki!”

    • You are doing good Michelle! I’m still working on 37! 😱🤦‍♀️ That includes awards and tags I’ve been working on for a while! I think we are all in need of kindness all around, especially at work. If only everyone had a heart to do whatever it took to do good to others. 🙏🏼
