Youāve been here before.
Witās End. What a funny street name.
Somewhere between a rock and a hard place.
Some days the tears are all too much.
While others, it feels the well has ran dry.
You are exasperated.
Hurt.
Without direction.
Lost in a maze, akin to a lab rat trying to find an end to the madness.
The grief threatens to choke your oxygen supply off.
You look this way and that, but thereās no clear direction.
Something compels your feet to move forward.
You hear your tennis shoes scraping the gravel as they gain momentum on an unclear path.
Your mind searches for a reason.
What IS the reason behind all this?
You pray.
You search.
Thereās no answer.
You pray.
You search.
No answer.
Are you there, God? Can you hear me calling out to you?
No answer.
You must have done something terribly wrong to receive the silent treatment.
Your feet donāt know what to do other than to keep making a trek, one step at a time.
You wished there was an answer. A solution to the pressure constricting your heart.
Donāt stop. Keep going.
You look around to see if thereās actually anyone there.
You soon realize the voice has to be coming from God, because the enemy would not be encouraging you in any way, shape or form.
āThatās it? Thatās all you got?ā You say.
You got anything better?
āWell, YEAH!!! How bout, the storm is finally over. You donāt have to feel the pain anymore. Nothing but peaceful, sunny days are ahead!ā
You know better than that. A diamond can never be a diamond without the process.
āA diamondā¦.? What does that even mean? Iām no diamond.ā
A pearl, perhaps?
āWell, letās just say for the sake of just saying, if I was a stone, a plain old rock would probably be more in my league.ā
Ok, then. A Pearl it is.
You sighā¦. āI donāt get it. Can you speak simple English for me, please?ā I need it straight here!ā
No diamond or pearl is ever beautiful starting out. Theyāre just ordinary. Nothing to look at.
āANNND? What has that got to do with me? Iām neither.ā
A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
āThere you go talking in riddles againā¦ā
A diamond isnāt a diamond at the beginning. Nor a pearl. They must undergo high pressure, temperature that turns the metal into a diamond. And the friction of the sand turns a pearl into a pearl. They simply cannot shine without the process. YOUUUU cannot shine without first going through the agony of āthe PROCESS.ā
āNow itās my turn to be speechlessā¦ā
NO! So now itās your turn to SHINE.
And there was silence once again. All but for the gravel crunching under your tennis shoes.
And the brilliance was so bright around you, it outshone all the diamonds and pearls in the whole wide world.

SHINE!!!

Such great encouragement! Thank you so much, Renee! š

Blessings Renee! This testament reminds us that God’s actions are always executing His perfect, divine plan. So often, we are caught in the darkness of life’s everyday noise. God has the absolute ability to reach out and grab our attention.

The noise gets loud at times, and God knows exactly how to get our attention. Often, the process can be very painful, until we see where God was trying to lead us all along. Blessings to you, Richard!

Love this!! Sounds like the conversations with God that play in my own mind and heart.
My favorite part (and Iāll have to add it to my blog reading notes):
Donāt stop. Keep going.
You look around to see if thereās actually anyone there.
You soon realize the voice has to be coming from God, because the enemy would not be encouraging you in any way, shape or form.
Such good and profound truth and encouragement!!

Alicia, Iām sure Jesus rolls His eyes a lot at āsomeā (namely me š)of His spunky children! I can imagine how He feels when I dial His hotline. Oh no! There she is again with all those questions of hers! š But He can handle them. And itās an added bonus when He loves us all anyway and invites us straight into His loving arms. I know I donāt deserve a love like that, but He loves me anyway!
I have found with myself, that random thought that popped into my head seemingly from nowhere, always seems to be not so random after all, when it brings comfort or solution to a problem. Thanks so much for reading. Itās nice to know a kindred spirit!
