If someone had mentioned I’d be blogging over two years ago, their gaze would have been met with a raised eyebrow! It’s not that I didn’t love to write.  My dreams were safer locked behind the hidden door of my heart, with the key tucked away.

Looking back on fourth grade, who knew a simple catalog on the teacher’s desk would ignite a spark in this young girl’s life? I grabbed at the chance for extra writing credit back then on great American leaders, such as, Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison and Booker T. Washington.

When the spark turned into a flame was in seventh grade English.  Her name was Mrs. Linda Pulliam.  She was one of the first and few teachers who told me “I could.” The writing assignments were one to two pages long, with our choice between two pre-chosen short titles. Before that moment in history, my childhood was surrounded with gifted short stories my Moma told us. Some were from her imagination while others were really true.

So here I am–finally HOME.  On a really good day, I can be found writing on my back porch, in my “Happy Place.”–sipping coffee or sweet tea, laughing or crying (sometimes both at the same time) over a fellow blogger’s heart-warming post!

I love to encourage and inspire of the greatness that lives inside every one of us. I also love writing straight from my heart! It gives me joy to share the news that every one of us is HIS FAVORITE! ❤  Tucked in a post here or there, you will find Heart Tokens— (love letters from God) hearts of all forms and sizes.  They are reminders of how much our Heavenly Father deeply loves and cherishes us!
