This is the Stuff

After checking my Facebook this morning, I was reminded of a memory that I hadn’t thought of in a while. So I am sharing. (Sorry for the blog overload in the past few days. I have simply been moving some of my Notes from Facebook to my blog here on Heart Tokens.)

I can’t get this song out of my head after a morning like today. I admit sometimes I take prayer and God’s protection for granted. Before driving many times I ask God to put a hedge around my children and my car.

This morning I felt the need to do this. I just had a feeling. I even took my grandson in my arms and prayed for him before we left. I prayed a hedge over him. After coffee, reading my devotion, Bible verse, and praying, my oldest daughter and I were on the way to take my grandson to the doctor.

We had been following behind an 18 wheeler in the westbound lane of a two-lane highway. While waiting patiently for a chance to pass, a service work truck going in the opposite direction, moved past us eastbound.

As the unexpected happened, it felt like I was viewing everything in slow motion. The tire of the work truck slung a baseball-sized concrete rock into my side of the windshield, sending shattered glass into my lap, all over me, except for my face.

By the grace of God, the rock did not come straight through the windshield! It would have been aimed at my head!!!

No one was hurt. My grandson slept through it all, even though it sounded like we had been shot!

Cars and windshields can be replaced. I am finding more and more every day, those things are unimportant. Thank you Jesus for answered prayer and Your loving protection!!!

    • I believe we were definitely covered by His protection that day! My daughter said she looked over at me, and I was calm as can be. I told her that I saw the concrete rock as it was heading for the windshield, and knew there was nothing I could do to avoid it. I couldn’t take the ditch or the car could have flipped. So I just held on! God is so good! Thank you, God Bless you and yours, as well!

  2. My goodness, glad everyone is ok, Sometimes we know not what God protects us from, and sometimes we see. I pray psalms 91 everyday and in advance for days I am overwelmed and forget, Im human, and I want coverage! Glad God covered you all! Blessings

      • Thank you! I will check it out. I know that we all have our own guardian angel that watches over and protects us, according to God’s Word. I have always loved angels. Every room in my house has at least one angel in my decor, even in my kitchen with my grape theme lol. I’ve been wanting to write a post about angels….

      • You are very welcome. I say go for it when writing about angels. We will be able to create a movement as a people one day to tell others about the pure love of spirit that is all there is in our existence. I love to inspire and spread love when and wherever spirit leads me to.

I strongly Agree what you shared about “Stuff Is Stuff ” God listens to us when we are praying to Him. He may not answer when we think He should answer. But we know that He is Listening.       • God Bless you!! May you continue praying to the Heavenly Father asking Him what Is His Will for Your Life. What Is His Purpose in your life?. I have learned that it has to be His ((Will)) and not mine. He never gets tired hearing from us. I’m talking to Him about everything!! Ask, Seek, and Knock. He loves when we be still and rest in His Heavenly place. 🙂 Thank you for the ((Hugs)) 🙂
