    • You are welcome! In my yard, we see the red male cardinals and brown females regularly. Also, blue jays, mockingbirds, red-headed woodpeckers, mourning doves, quail, and I have also seen the American Goldfinch…hummingbirds in the summer and fall months. A few nights ago, while I had already retired for the night, I even heard a Great Horned Owl hooting! I haven’t heard one in a long time!

    • After doing some research on the internet, there have also been sightings of orange/salmon colored cardinals, as well! The yellow ones are rare. The first documented yellow Northern cardinal was “collected” in 1989 by the Museum of Natural Science at Louisiana State University.

    • I wish I could take credit for this pic, but actually I heard the story on the local news, looked it up on the net, and decided to share. The top pic is not the actual shot, the bottom is. I uploaded the wrong pic. For some reason, I can’t delete it off this post!
