We Are Saved By A Stumbling Savior

I listened to this Livestream sermon this morning, due to being unable to make it to church.😱😍❤️

This is what we southerners like to call a plain peas and cornbread kind of sermon, but profound just the same!

I cannot express how much I needed this! I cried so much throughout different parts of it. Even Jesus struggled and stumbled trying to carry His cross! He is not a God that cannot be touched by the feeling of our infirmities.

It doesn’t matter what faith you are affiliated with, I hope this will touch you like it did me!

God Bless!

  1. Ooh Renee. I really want to listen to this. It is SO true, and this is what has kept me going. That He suffered everything that I ever suffer. And I can unite with Him on His Cross and in all His sufferings. Amen and amen

  2. This keeps coming to mind—just how profound a message. It’s comforting and at the same time horrific to put oneself in place of the Christ (or Mary) and feel the pain he/she must have felt. Utterly betrayed. 🙏🏻

Sometimes a good cry is exactly what is needed. How lovely when it come from one you love! Like you said to me—‘cleansing to the soul’. It’s true!

I saw this post “Stumbling Savior”—and stumbled out of my chair🙃! Beautiful share. Thank you, Renee—I like your Sunday service 😇💞

    • Awe! Thanks NZ! It was a great service for sure! I’m glad it touched you as it did me. 😄 It was very cleansing to my soul. I had never heard it put that way before! Jesus’ body was weak, and He stumbled and needed help to get to that hill, just like we do….You’ve got me curious on the stumbling out of your chair part though…😁

      • Good morning, Renee! I wrote a piece “message from my Soul…” ‘stumbling and bumbling…’ because that has been my experience. We stumble we fall—we get back up—sometimes with the help of friends. Christ is my inspiration for this. My first post “chapter 1” tells the story of me and Jesus…hiding in the shadow of the cross.

A ‘stumbling God’ who understands our trials and at the same time shows us how to overcome. Yeah—this touched me deeply. I too enjoy a good cry now and again. 🙂

      • That just warmed my heart! I found found when something touched us deeply, someone somewhere else needs to hear it also. We are to share the comfort and love that God shows us. I can’t wait to read your post! God is healing all our hurts and wounds🤗🤗🤗

      • It’s true. If we allow our hearts to open to healing—all is possible! Regardless of how bad it looks on the outside—and after reading the reports from LA—things look pretty dim…but with God in control—no fear. Yes—we are to share with others what God shows us…Ahhh…I feel better already just talking with you. 🥰

  3. Aww, this brought tears to my eyes! There’s nothing we are going through right now that Jesus didn’t go through as well. He sufferred, he was wounded, he was accused, rejected of all men, despised by the ones he came to save! 😭 😭 And he sympathises with our weaknesses because he understands. Blessings Rene!
