Thank you Debbie for nominating me for the “Barnabas Award.” I read your writings on EA and use to think, Wow! I sure would love to write articles like her! But I lacked the motivation and didn’t believe in myself very much. Somehow you encouraged me to try blogging.

Observing all that you have went through since I have known you, you are a very strong, loyal, inspirational, talented, kind, wise, great writer and a true friend who loves God and everyone she comes in contact with. You are a modern day BARNABUS!!!! A poster child!!!

1. I’m just ME. And I always root for the underdog!

2. I find and see beauty and humor in the strangest places and things–which leads me to the next fact about myself…

3. I’m eccentric–as if you haven’t guessed already! 😂🤣🤓🧐🤪

4. I’m a homebody–an introvert–the older I’ve gotten, the worse I am about not wanting to get out much in everyday life. Although I would love to travel and to see more of the world if I had the money! That doesn’t make much sense now does it? 😜

5. I would love to take professional art lessons to hone my once “❤️” for drawing and also learn to paint. 🙂😌

Questions from Debbie for me:

1. What would you do if faced with betrayal from a loved one? As I’ve been there many times before, I pray through it. It’s the only thing that will get you through the hurt. And forgive. Pray till you can let it go and get to a place where you can talk to the person and ask forgiveness for your part, if any in the situation. Even if you were not at fault, it’s better for one person to say sorry than a lifetime of not speaking and regret. God knows all, let Him work on that loved one!

2. Have you ever read Frank Perritte? I bought one of his book’s called Hangman’s Curse for my oldest daughter when she was a teenager. We read it together. I always read books with both my girls at bedtime and before prayer.

3. Do you believe in spiritual warfare? Yes. God’s Word talks about this through scripture.

4. What inspires you to write? Little things, big things. Places, smells, feelings! God’s world, pretty much!

5. What place have you visited that inspired you to write about that location and encouraged? One of the homes I grew up at. The happy times there.

I can’t wait to buy your first book, illustrated with your artwork! I sure wish I could have started out as young as you bogging! We didn’t have anything like that back in the 80’s, when I was around your age. No, I did not see apology yet. Will keep looking for it…

        You are always there beside me, when I need someone. I remember it very well how your presence made me feel warmth and comfort when all of my near and dear ones blamed us as “Traitor”. I am still infinitely grateful to you for this and would remain, till the last day.
        I can’t thank you enough, truly.
        I love the 80s age too, those time when computers weren’t there. They produced such compassionate people like you.
        It’s a sad fact, now, many people are becoming much materialistic with all these progress.

Renee , oh how your words blessed me🤗 Hard to believe it been 10 years, you have laughed, cried, wept and prayed me your unmet friend through the hardest trials of my life, you rejoiced with me through my victories and when needed you got down in the mud with me. A lot of my writings are based on a word I got when I first got saved, “Reach down with the right hand of love and pull that brother and sister up out of the pit, for you are to love them as I love you.” Renee, that’s you everyday, your writing , is pulling people out. Your way with words captivates the reader to read and feel your story experiencing a wide range of emotions. Your writing inspires, encourages, uplifts and Motivates. Lastly your writing is as beautiful as the soul from which it comes, your writing helps people to heal. Writings are testimonies, and our most powerful weapon as Christens other than the word itself, is our testimony and how we overcome. Blessings Sister Renee, your award is well deserved. 💯💞

    • Thanks Steve! You know what they say…. “Birds of a feather flock together!” 😄 I have been thinking about going Award-free myself. It’s an honor for people to send them and a blessing getting to know people by answering the questions. I am so far behind doing these that I hope I don’t leave anyone out after I get them done. I tried to save the ones I could, so I could get it done.

      • Yes, that’s one problem, getting so far behind, then I have had people complain because it’s taking so long, others complain because of the way I do the awards, just too many complaints lately about my whole blog, makes me want to quit at times. Oh well. Thanks Renee!🙂😺

  13. congratulations on your award! I so enjoyed reading your responses and learning even a little bit more about you. I am right there with you……..if I had the money I would also love to travel the world to see all God’s beautiful creations.
    Thank you so very much for the nomiation, since I also tend not to follow the rules I am going to respond here:
    1. The sky is blue because that the is the color that God thought would be the best for us to see when we look up to the heavens……maybe it is His favorite color! 🙂 (please know that I realize there is a scientific explanation!)
    2. I no longer enjoy ironing clothes, but when I was younger I did, very much so.
    3. Happiness makes a duck quack 🙂 and when I hear a duck quack, it makes me happy too!
    4. Other than hearing animals make noises, kindness makes me happy. It seems to be a lost art form.
    5. The legacy I would like to leave behind – a family who changes the world for the better.
    6. My favorite form of artistic expression is movement…….I am so thankful I can walk and when I walk it is a prayer of thanks to God.

    • Thanks! And wow! Wendi! I loved every one of your answers! Maybe someone will let us know the scientific explanation…Wouldn’t that be something if blue was God’s fav color? I never thought about it that way before!🙂 I think happy makes a duck quack, too! Loved that! And kindness is a lost art. A young guy practically let a door shut in my face the other day heading into a store…Isn’t that sad? And I was his elder, too! 😂 Movement is so awesome! And a fam who changes the world….I give you an A+ for those answers! 🌷

I still have no answers as to why?…one keeps looking in their spam, but doesn’t ever see anything from me there.
