SEPTEMBER | CHANGING OF SEASONS TAG

A special thanks to Purple Rose, Stu , and Vanessa for their awesome trio of tags! I enjoy doing the tags that Purple and Dollface have created! It gives every season and holiday a special flare!

Here are the rules:

1. Thank the person who tagged you and link their post to yours.

2. Link the original post so the creators can read them

3. Use the original featured image and include it in your post.
4. Copy and paste the meaning of the tag into your post.

The Meaning of this Tag:
Change can be difficult and heart-breaking, but it can also cause the greatest turning points in our lives. As the season begins to change for many of us in September, let’s reflect on the changes in our life, good and bad. It’s good to be honest with ourselves and see what changes still need to be made. It is also important to recognize the seasons in our life so we cherish them despite what comes with them. We hope you have enjoyed this tag, that it inspires you and reminds you that much like the world around us, we go through beautiful changes too.

5. Answer the questions.

6. Tag at least one person.

7. Have fun and enjoy the rest of your month!

Here are the questions:
1. Of all the fall/autumn color shades (reds, yellows, oranges, etc.), which shade is your favorite?

I’m like V with loving all the colors overall, but also like Purple Rose with the burgundy. I love the reds, too, but oh that yellow is so sunny!

2. What fall/autumn scent is your favorite?

I’m like Stu on this one. I have tried so hard, but I have never been a fan of the classic spicy smells of fall. I love decorating for fall like Purple Rose, and I do like just plain apple scent. I’m more of a woodsy, fresh scent, cashmere sweater, rose, honeysuckle kinda gal though.

These were the scents I was going to answer with Purple Rose’s questions. I decided to make a collage.

The Fresh Bamboo is y current fav.

3. What is your favorite fall/autumn drink?

I love apple cider, cappuccino, Hazelnut Coffee, (liquid) Italian Cream flavored coffee. And I also love hot chocolate V! 😆

4. What big life changes have you recently experienced?

All kinds of posts have been speaking to me personally here lately, letting me know that God is doing a work on my poor heart. Stu’s post about facing his Paw Paw’s death did a number on me! But it triggered a much needed healing. The strange thing is, I didn’t even know I needed it! The healing was from grief from a dear high school friend’s death that I never got to say goodbye to. I won’t elaborate here. Will have to go read the post if you are interested and haven’t gotten the chance-“Unsaid Goodbyes.” I added a link to Stu’s post there.

I have been through so many hard things in my life that I guess I have had to block them out to even survival. And the things as of late have just left me feeling completely uprooted from my comfort zone. I feel like I’m walking in the dark at times-but Jesus is holding my hand right there, guiding me, telling me this is for my good. (Ouch it hurts though!🙃😫)

Also seeing others going through tough times around me and my not being able to do anything about it is a hard one for me!

5. How do you cope with life changes?

I hate change! I don’t do it well. I have to pray till I literally feel His peace. Honestly, I let things hurt my heart more than I should. I guess God made me a deep person. I feel, hurt, worry, and love deeply. Just today, I have had to pray several times just to get it all out. Sitting on my back porch crying cleansing tears and letting the hurt go…Until I felt His peace. The tears just won’t stop these days! But I know that God is doing something in me, so I’m just letting Him have His way!

6. Who is the person you trust most?

I love my friends and my girls, but I would have to go with someone who is more Spirit than person —Jesus. He is truly everything to me. He has never told my secrets, He listens and has even let me know what I “needed” to hear, even when I didn’t like it lol.

7. What would be a question you’d be afraid to tell the truth on?

Some intimate details of my life-my past.

This month I am tagging…

Debbie

Yeka

And anyone who is up for the challenge! If you love these tags, I nominate you!

Have a great week everyone!

  1. I loved your answers!!

I like hot chocolate too! They remind me of good memories when I was young… (Younger 😂).

I have recently started to heal from something I didn’t know I needed heal from… I’ve had many nights recently of crying and praying for God peace. It’s like a ton of emotions hitting me at once anger, disappointment, sadness, hurt, confusion, and many questions “why”…. But I’m trying my best to give all of those emotions to God and not let bitterness in my heart because that is one thing I don’t want!!

Great post! I love seeing your posts! I’m praying for you daily my friend!❤

  2. From the collage I can tell you do like woodsy scents –
And all this processing you are doing is really healthy — or can be – and isn’t it awesome how when we are weakest – He is strongest?!
And my favorite names for the holy Spirit are counselor and comforter –
And imagining that peace showing up on the porch brought a smile.
It truly is a peace that passes understanding and I wish more folks (everyone) could experience it ❤️

    • I do love more natural scents. And I’m so glad that Jesus is still working on me, to make me what I ought to be. When I’m at my weakest, He shows up and strengthens me by the power of His might! I love those names, too. In fact, in the early hours this morning, I had a counseling session with Him again! And He became my Comforter! I pray EVERYONE can know Him in that way. Some don’t believe that His Presence can be felt, but Oh if only they knew! We don’t even have wait to be in a church to feel His Spirit. He meets us right where we are! It has changed my life!

      • Amen to that part about being in church – and in my experience many American churches can be Godless as they become religious country clubs – but no need to rant – hah
And many years ago I asked god why he didn’t take a certain flaw from me – I was like – come on lord – we have been walking together a long time – and you say you complete that good work in us you began it….
And I felt god remind me that he does not want perfect robots – if he did then we would be infallible
        Instead
He uses rich people who are layered and who feel and who grow but maybe slows in some areas
And anything we work though or think should have (could have) been zapped from us – well it is there for reasons – like bringing us closer to him – feeling his presence more –
And being available and usable to the people around us who get splashes of God through us- and who we often feel god through as well.
And I am sure you know this – from what you share and embrace with the process of things

But I never second guessed certain things anymore –
I remember led that god wants relationship and he uses very real people who still feel and still grow
And he is right there knowing the future as clear as we know the past.
I love how chuck swindoll always reminded us of this – he was a teacher that was instrumental in my life during early 1990s
        So glad for him!
And he’d always say that even with free will god knows the future as clear as we know the past!
And like he knows the number of hairs on our head – our name before we were in our mother’s womb – wow to that – well the day of death is appointed and as we live and embrace life
We know heaven is our true home
And it seems to me that even if you did not get the goodbye you wanted with Charlene – the little check in was appointed!
Hmmm – god knew – and he knows our time too…
        Brings peace – eh?
