Do you know how much POWER lies in Jesus’ blood? There’s so much power in it, that the enemy has fought hard to remove every song that speaks of that blood from hymnals at many churches today.
When Jesus took His last breath on that cruel cross, the veil in the Temple rent in two. From top to bottom. Revealing the Holy of Holies. And now we can go boldly before the throne!
The following is one of my favorite prayers to pray, (one that David prayed after he sinned) especially when I have slipped up and bobbled with sin.
“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me…Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow…Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me…Deliver me from bloodguiltiness…
Psalms 51:1-17 KJV
(Read the whole chapter if you have the time)🙂
God sees your heart. It’s made of gold! He made that heart— and everything about it.
He sees the person that you are. The one who makes mistakes but isn’t afraid to admit it when they slip up. You wish a lot of things could be different, and it’s 2 steps forward and 1 step back. That tells me that at least you are still ‘moving forward’, even if it’s one small baby step at a time. That speaks volumes! It means you haven’t given up!
That problem is not WHO you are! YOU ARE A WARRIOR!!! That’s why the devil is trying so hard to defeat you, discourage you to give up. To knock you out of the race! he knows how strong you really are!!! ……..Think about that for a moment…YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU REALIZE!
Many years ago, an out-of-the ordinary experience happened to me in my bedroom on my knees in prayer. I was struggling with a sin that I could not seem to get victory over. I had slipped again. I was so disgusted with myself and asked the Lord to please help me, because I could not help myself. I was desperate!!! I wanted to change. I could not do it in my own power.
Right there on my knees, I saw Jesus hanging on the cross. I saw the blood, and it tore at my heart that every time I slipped up, I was crucifying Him afresh.
I reached up and touched the blood on his feet and something happened to me! When God got done with my spirit after being completely laid out onto the floor, hair and clothes all mussed up, all pride gone, I felt something had changed within me. As days passed I pondered if I had imagined seeing this. I didn’t understand or even know what it was!
A visiting preacher came to our church and was ministering to different ones. He came to me and spoke to me. Told me that thing that had happened to me had really happened to me ‘in the Spirit’. He said my hands had touched the Blood and bring a cleansing. I had never told this experience to another living soul!
This deeply touched me! How could God use a terrible ‘Mess-up’ like me? At that point in my life, I had no self-esteem whatsoever. I felt completely unworthy, and that every time I messed up Jesus didn’t love me anymore. That I had blown it for life….The enemy tormented me with these kinds of thoughts.
If I had only realized back then that it wasn’t about ‘me’ and my ability or lack of it or even my weaknesses that determined how much He loved me or used me or forgave me. His love was so much bigger than all that!
He gets all glory in whatever He chooses to do through YOU and me. When we are weak, it shows those around us how strong He is, when we never stop trying to get the victory! It brings Him glory when we get ourselves out of the way – His power makes up for all our frailties. Oh those doubts that God could ever speak through us or use us though! Not to mention the guilt from the continual falling down on our faces!
I don’t say any of this to say look at Renee, she’s something special!….I say this to say, Look at Renee, she’s weak and IMPERFECT.
Aren’t we all? We don’t have it together a lot of days. God has to continually remind us that He understands and is very much touched by the feeling of our infirmities! And somehow still wants to use us anyway! He uses the weak to confound the wise!
Peter failed God, too, but God gave Him the keys to the kingdom and told him when he was converted, to strengthen the brethren! …David also made many mistakes, but was somehow still a man after God’s own heart.
Do you realize just how powerful the BLOOD of Jesus is? It’s an unlimited power source!
I am praying for deliverance for anyone struggling today! You cannot do it on your own!!! You need help from God. And your prayer partners…Pleading the blood of Jesus over that problem, over your family, finances, home, car, lack, job. You name it, He covers it!🙏🏼 Get desperate and lay your life out like a book before Him. Get somewhere alone or with a trusted prayer warrior/warriors. Don’t be a mouse either! Get loud! Cry out in desperation! God is not deaf, but neither is he nervous. He moves on desperation.
Don’t think the blind beggar sitting on the roadside called out quietly to Jesus when he heard He was passing by. No sir! You can be rested assured he formed those consonants and vowels loud and clear to get his healing miracle!!!
And he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.”
And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “SON OF DAVID, HAVE MERCY ON ME!”
And Jesus stopped and commanded him to be brought to him. And when he came near, he asked him,
What do you want me to do for you?” He said, “Lord, let me recover my sight.”
And Jesus said to him, “Recover your sight; your faith has made you well.”
And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
The blood on the houses where you are staying will distinguish them; when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No plague will fall on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:13 Berean Bible
distinguish them;
לְאֹ֗ת (lə·’ōṯ)
Strong’s Hebrew 226: A signal, as a, flag, beacon, monument

The enemy of our soul will try to entrap us again with those same spirits we were delivered from when we were first Born-Again. But….
There is wonder-working power in The BLOOD of the Lamb!
—Would you be free from your burden of sin?
—Would you o’er evil the victory win?
—Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
PRAYER: Lord, how we need Your power! Every day and every hour! Lord how we need Your power! Every day and every hour! Lord we plead your blood over every sickness, over every doubt, over our failures, over anything that seeks to exalt itself over your Spirit and your Blood! Wash us Lord, and we will be whiter than snow! In Jesus Name!
GET DESPERATE MY FRIEND!!! 🙏🏼

G-d works perfectly through our struggles and imperfections. Thank you

Always Wendi! There’s nothing like praying with friends! It’s what keeps me going most days…Thank you! That sunset was just beautiful that day! I took a few shots of the lighthouse before the sun set, as well.

I LOVE lighthouses and it know that you live by one is awesome. Everytime I see one at night, all lit up, I think about how God is there for protection……..even when we don’t see it ourselves.

I love them, too. I’m not sure if this is an original lighthouse that was brought in or built? I know that it hasn’t always been there. It’s an hour away from my hometown. They remind me of the hymn, Jesus is the Lighhouse. That’s the name of my church. 🙂

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me…”
Such a beautiful prayer. This is also one of the songs I sing to HIM during my prayer time. I’m not perfect… and I stumble a lot… but through HIM… I am able to stand up again and recover from every fall.

David certainly penned a beautiful prayer of repentance! I can imagine how happy our Lord is when you sing these scriptures to him! 🙌🏼🤗🙂 That’s the beauty in it, God knows none are perfect, and He helps us up every time we stumble. 🙂 Blessings!

[…] You may be wondering why I would be thinking about Christ’s crucifixion near Christmas time. Shouldn’t we be focusing on the baby born in a manger this time of the year? This post is a continuation of the one I published on Nov. 5th of this year, entitled Would You Be Free From your Burden Of Sin. […]

Wow! I cannot tell you how many times in the past I would mess up, feel completely and totally unworthy and threaten to throw in the towel and everything else with it!! I would just be ANGRY… at mySELF! And it wrecked my family’s hearts to see me that way… but it’s like I was trapped inside myself, a little bitty version of the “real me” trapped in this great big, angry, “I give up” me. Over the years, God has helped me understand, that like the prodigal son, even the smell of the pig stye won’t deter His great love for me ❤ My Lord and my God, what a joy to know we're one repentant prayer away from that precious grace!!! Thank you for sharing this!!

Stacey, you are welcome! I think we are all one repentant prayer away from the grace that overlooks every weakness, fault, and failure we will ever have, and definitely don’t forget the pig pen!
