The Feelings Of You

The wee morning hours when all is quiet and oh, so still

The world is sleeping, but you are awake. Alone with you. Alone with the feelings of YOU. You are experiencing those sorts of times right now, aren’t you, my friend?

A tightness rising up in your chest. The painful lump in your throat you can’t clear or reason away? And you’re choking—choking, choking on life….

You are scared to give in to feeling anything, because you don’t want to admit you are hurting and broken inside. So, you attempt to cover those emotions up like fresh dirt over a grave, you won’t have to deal with them anymore.

If you move, if you breath, you fear your world will ravel away at the seam—any moment.

He’s here you know…right here in the darkness, and you can reach out and trust Him with your everything—even when you can’t trust in yourself.

Put the shovel down.

Climb up in His lap once again, Dear One. Let the little girl/the little boy in you, put those fragile arms around His waist and absorb the peace and comfort here.

If you listen close enough, you can hear Him whispering His Words of truth into your ear.

Do you hear them?

You don’t have to hide anything from me, child.

You don’t have to fear anymore.

You can be you here.

You are protected.

You are important to me.

You are very much loved.

Your tears are safe here with me.

It’s here, where He will cover you up in His arms of greatness and His powerful love.

He understands. He was once a man of sorrows. He knows how it feels to grieve.

He’s got you, and He’s not letting you go!

He knows the questions that are riddling your heart, mostly late at night. He already has the answers. It’s not for you to figure it all out.

You can’t trust God and worry at the same time.

I know this is sometimes hard to understand, Dear Heart.

He is so patient. So kind. He is touched by those feelings and is here in the secret place you share together.

You don’t have to prove anything here.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You don’t have to be someone you are not.

He loves your imperfections. He loves even the freckles on your nose AND your laugh lines!

He knows it’s been hard for you. To trust. To share. To grow. To move forward. To be transformed.

—To let go.

But you must let go. And let Him be God.

Can you hear His Voice, whispering that all is well? Can you feel His overwhelming love, cleansing your heart? He is shushing away the pain. It’s ok daughter. It’s ok son.

Jesus has you, and He’s not letting you go.

He will never let you go.

You can trust Him. Bask in His Presence here. Speak His Name. There is nothing to fear. Just simply let go.

    • Yes! I was just ‘a munching when I saw some crumbs fall. I looked down and plain as day-a heart! I have seen others I haven’t shared here. One was in the soap bubbles in my bathtub, as well as a smiley face! 😆 It reminded me not to forget to smile that morning! It still amazes me every time God sends one of His love letters!
