Mercy’s Calling, Answer the Phone

Happy Pentecost Sunday! For those of you who have inquiring minds [like me]…😆 here’s a bit of history for you while you drink that second cup of coffee…or that first cup for some. ☕️ ☕️ 🤔

According to the internet, (and we do know Google knows ALL🤣) Pentecost Sunday celebrates the day the Holy Ghost/ Holy Spirit fell on the Apostles and disciples shortly after Christ’s Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension. (Acts of the Apostles, chapter 2), and it symbolizes the beginning of the Christian church’s mission to the world.

So there you have it! Happy Birthday Church!

In celebration of this beautiful and reverent day, here’s a link to a song that speaks to my heart today. Enjoy! 💜✝️

  1. When I was growing up the word/label “Pentecostal” had a rather negative connotation. The Pentecostal congregations were called, “Holy Rollers”, snake handlers(yes, in some regions of America people handle snakes to show how much faith they have), and then they would make fun of them for “speaking in tongues”.
