Peaceful Healing Sunday Thoughts

NATURE

Nature, time and patience are the three great healers

I find this to be so true with me.

When the noise from the world is too loud, you only have to bask in the rays of nature to feel the stress melting away.

It’s time to slow down a bit and sit on the back porch for a while.

Drink a cup of coffee, hot cocoa or tea.

Watch the birds fly around.

Hear them call to one another.

TIME

There are some things only time can heal.

A loss—or back-to-back losses.

A loved one gone from this world, leaving your heart aching to see them again.

A betrayal. A wound so deep you can’t even fathom it actually happened to you.

A tragedy that left you too shell-shocked to recover. And you feel you can’t move on.

A financial ruin. An unforeseen happenstance that left your savings completely depleted.

This was so refreshing to watch and listen to. Hope it will lift your spirits today.

PATIENCE

No one likes that word.

Waiting is the hardest to do.

Patience is a virtue.

It always ends in a trial.

But we are all in need of patience.

“knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭

Sometimes you just have to let the trials work itself out.

Throw it at Jesus’ feet.

And rest in His perfect timing.

There are no easy answers or fix-its.

Seeking after God’s peace and finding joy in the smallest of His creations can motivate you a little while to keep going.

I wish you happy thoughts, peace, joy and healing today.

Rest in His goodness, my friend.

We have so many things to be thankful for.

Blessings!

  1. Ohhh, I see now why I had to let this sit in my inbox for a while before I had the time to sit down with it. I sure needed this, Sis! Seems like I’m dealing with more than one of the things you mentioned, and I just feel a deep ache in my chest, feels like all the time anymore. I spend a LOT of time in prayer just asking, “Jesus, could You hold this pain for a while and give me a chance to breath?” Sometimes He does, and sometimes, I just have to sit with it. But that back porch time… that’s HIS time. Thank you so much for sharing in a way so elgant and so simple all at the same time. You are a breath of fresh air in a crazy world that has waaaay too much pain in it ❤ I love you, my sweet friend!

    • Oh, my friend, God always has His perfect timing, doesn’t He? Thank
you for all the kind words you spoke over me! I so appreciate every one of them. Pain is so hard to bear no matter what form it comes by. Grief and loss is one of the worst pains imaginable. I’m so thankful for those back porch moments with God. It’s what keeps us going. I’m going to be praying extra special for you in the days to come. Hang in there my friend. We’re gonna make it! Love you!

  2. Very good post Renee! And the timing as I read it today is perfect. A couple of those things I am dealing with right now and sometimes it is not so easy, but so good to know that Jesus is with us all the way. Yes, nature is great for helping with those trials, everything else just seems to melt away when out in nature. God bless you much Renee! So sorry I don’t get around much lately, my reading of posts is way behind for everyone that I normally read. Sometimes outside things take over for a while. I even struggle to write posts these days. Have a great evening Renee!😊😻☕☕❄️❄️

    • Awe thanks friend! I’m sorry you are facing more than one of those situations. It seems trials are on every hand these days. If it were not for Jesus walking with us every step of the way… we would have no hope. I will be praying for and with you in the days to come. Blessings to you, Steve. I know exactly how you feel when you say you don’t get around to reading the posts you normally do these days. Life has a way of keeping us busy and those trials play their part, as well. The struggle is real with even trying to write regular posts. Mine are definitely sporadic. But you know, real friends understand. It seems I have lost track with a lot of friends posts. I feel terrible about it, but I just don’t have as much time as I used to with this job I’m working. There’s no telling how many good posts I’ve missed. 😢 I sure hope I can do better soon.🤷🏼‍♀️🌴🌞😃🤗😸 ☕️ ☕️ Have a great week!
