Horizons New

The sunflowers are blooming!

“being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭

Somebody needs to hear this one.

I woke up with this song on my mind. With only a few lines I could remember.

Hello peace.

Hello joy.

This was written on our to-go box we grabbed on the way out of a restaurant Friday.

I’m so glad I stopped and took the time to listen to the song and read the lyrics this morning.

His [God’s] mercies are new EVERY single morning.

He’s going to finish the good work He started in you.

One of the pics on the wall of that same restaurant. I loved the view this photographer shared! The Bible was opened to Deuteronomy 20:1-4, so I read it.

“When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,

and shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts be faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;

for the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭20‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭

    • You’re so welcome, Skelly! I’m glad it gave some hope. I think you’re right! If we could feel the peace that passes all understanding, then joy would bound to abide with us. It seems the enemy tries so hard these days to steal our peace and joy.
