You Are a Survivor

by: Renee Greene

Caught up in a web of deceit, Not realizing how you arrived, a victim of circumstance, leaving you stripped, barely alive.

Friend, I pray you have more sunshiny days rather than the gray, healing for your soul, help others with what you’ve learned, come what may, come what may.

You became much stronger, and he never expected that, when he crushed your spirit and stepped on you like a doormat.

I pray you are caught, in the arms of TRUE love, finally the old man you were— buried—in God’s mending power from above.

I pray you find bold courage, rise above what you’ve been through, you are a natural-born survivor, this you always knew—always knew.

I pray you find happiness, a smile instead of pain, I’ll say a prayer of release for all your hurt and disdain.

You are a survivor, this you always knew—you are a survivor—this you always knew.

  1. Amen. Renee, I appreciate your prayer-filled words. When I experience the morning sunrise, I feel God’s nurturing spirit. He has brought me safely into a new day, surrounded by His immense heart of love. God’s peace.
