I is for Indian Creek~one of our old fishing holes.
And J is for Jennifer.
Chelsea, my daughter’s art when she was a teen. She loved to draw. That was something I liked to do at her age, too. I still think she needs to write her own books and illustrate them! 😄
I Love the drawing! It’s so sweet! I agree, she should write and illustrate them.

She has lots more of these drawings. She had actually written a story and this was one of the characters. She had saved it on a flash drive and the computer crashed and she also lost the flash drive, as well! 😢

Awe… that’s sad.. Well, maybe she could recreate it? One never knows, it might be just as good or better than the first. I hope she gives it another chance.

I’m with you, I sure hope she does eventually remember how some of it went and rewrite it! She’s out on her own now and doesn’t own a computer at the moment.

She has the one in her head to keep it on until she can recreate it. Keep encouraging her though. She might find it more enjoyable now that she’s a bit older.

Oh my gosh your photo of Indian Creek looks like a painting! Absolutely gorgeous!!
Your daughter’s drawing is great. I love how she did her eyes. Reminds me of anime.

Thanks, Stu. It’s a really peaceful and beautiful place! When I saw the flowers reflecting in the water, I just HAD to take several pics! I did edit it though…and Chelsea drew a lot of anime. She had picked up a book from the library one day and fell in love with anime and manga. So, I bought her a book on how to draw anime for Christmas one year.

The flowers reflecting is what makes it look like an oil painting 🙂
That is cool. Chelsea did great. Did she keep drawing?

Awe! Thanks! 😄 Actually, I framed a lot of her drawings and we hung them on her bedroom wall. She wanted to get rid of them when she moved out! I was like, not on your life! I’m keeping these. I have them somewhere here! The one I shared is actually still framed and hanging in her old bedroom.

That is so awesome that you not only framed them but saved them as well. A mother’s love for her daughter’s talent 🙂

I wanted her to know that I believe in her! That she can do anything if she believes in herself. Both my girls were in S.P.I.R.I.T., the gifted class at school. They both can draw. But anyways, I’m proud of them, but say this humbly, not trying to be a braggard or anything.

I think a Mom is allowed to brag a little about their children! After all they are a reflection of those who raised them. Sounds as though you did a great job!

Just started sketching the other day and must admit there is nothing more fulfilling than going through the erases and mistakes time and again till the sketch comes out as you would love it…One thing God has done is bring that satisfaction right from within to the surface…I pray she does her sketches again.

Thank you so much! I think everyone has inspired her to start writing and drawing again. She is getting her laptop fixed, and sent me a doodle from work. 🤗😄
