A big thank you shout out to Big Brother, Matt of JesusLuvsAll for nominating me for Share Your Passion. I’ve been nominated by Deb and Amy also! All three share posts who bless me every single time I visit their blogs! Thank you guys so much for your dedication and for nominating me! 💜💕
Sorry it has taken this long to get this done, but better late than never, right? 🤷🏼♀️

The goal of the #ShareYourPassion Tag, created by https://absolutelytrueconfessions.com, is for bloggers to uplift other bloggers and inspire their readers. Bloggers who are tagged are encouraged to talk about their passions outside of blogging, and how to use those passions to help others. Love this!
Rules of the #ShareYourPassion Tag:
- Repost the #ShareYourPassion logo (above) on your acceptance post.
- Tag the blogger’s site that nominated you.
- Share a bit about your passion(s): Hobbies outside of blogging that keep you busy in your free time. What would you like to accomplish with these things? How could you use your passion(s) to be a blessing to others and show them the love of God?
- Nominate ten other bloggers and spread the joy!
A big passion for me is studying God’s Word. It may not really be considered a hobby to some, but has and is a huge part of me. Having a hunger for God’s Word is so important these days, especially! If you aren’t in the habit of reading the Word daily, maybe consider reading one verse each day. It’s a start!
I have been blessed to teach a few bible studies through the years. One of them was a 4-hour study! That one really changed my life and helped me to come to Christ. I taught it to one of my high school friends. I was so touched to be able to teach a study to my oldest brother during the lockdown last year.
I’m sporadic as of late, but walking at our local walking track has been a blessing towards my health. Also, I love porch sitting and listening and watching nature.
Reading has always been a good part of my life, since I was young. I started writing poems when I was a teen, mostly after my mom died. It was an outlet for my grief. I started journaling when I was 13, when my mom bought me my very first journal. I still have that journal today. I chuckle reading some of its contents.
Writing short stories also became a part of my life when I was in 7th grade. Before that, in 4th grade I wrote short essays for extra credit about prominent people from history, like Abraham Lincoln and Harriet Tubman. The teacher had a list of people in a catalog on her desk. We could sum up the short article in our own words.
Last year I was so shocked and honored to get a short story published in the Chicken Soup for the Soul book, Listen to Your Dreams. I would encourage anyone to go to their website and submit their own story. They have a list of guidelines there.
Singing and listening to music also has been a blessing to me all my life. It’s an outlet and form of worship to me, even if I’m not the best singer out there. 😂 I love sharing music with others that has personally ministered to me.
As of late, I am currently keeping my next to the youngest grandchild while his mommy works part time. This feels like a full time job for this worn-out Nonna! There’s not much time to do anything extra. He keeps me busy but happy. 😍
My Nominees, if they choose to participate, are:
I am nominating whoever would love to participate!
God Bless you all! 💕🤗😄

I’m so glad we share the same passion for God’s Word, Manu. I pray we are consumed with more of it this New Year!

Great share! How fun to get to spend extra time with a grandchild.
As well Chicken Soup for the Soul, wow! The spiritual journey is one that when we stay attuned we stay safe guarded from the day to day things that are not ours to harbor. Love this tag. Blessings Lisa

Thank you, Lisa!
Amen! It’s great to know we are sheltered from the things we should not harbor, when we let Him have control of our lives. 😁

Oh my gosh! Congratulations on the published short story🎉 Totally awesome! I doubt very seriously my stuff would fall within their guidelines…lol.
I am glad your passion for reading God’s Word is so prominent in your life Renee. I have been so sporadic here of late…even going a few days without reading.
I need to change that this year!

Thank you so much, Stu😄 You never know, you may have a story for them. There is one deadline coming up called “Counting your Blessings,” and one on cats. Chelsea submitted to the one on cats.
Hey none of us are perfect! We will miss a few days here and there of bible reading. I need to get back to my bible devotions myself.
