Tokens of His Love Part 2

***Before I begin the explanation of why I named this Part 2, I would like to invite you to go back and read my original blog, Tokens of His Love, to refresh your memory. I named this Part 2 of a ‘continuation of that story.’ ***

Sorry I’ve been off the grid for a while. I will explain later on in my story.

My latest Heart Token took me by surprise and brought tears to my eyes! Let me introduce you to the newest member of my family. Her name is Adelena Renae. My first grand-daughter by my oldest daughter. She has stolen our hearts for sure!

She was born with an Angel Kiss on her forehead in the shape of a heart! God never seizes to amaze me in all that He is doing and showing me. If it hasn’t sunk in by now, Jesus must really love me! He keeps sending me His Love Tokens! I am so grateful for those reminders. They keep me pressing on towards the mark!

The following is from a recent Facebook post that I shared: (I am well now, by the way!)

It’s amazing the many things we seem to take for granted on any given day. Things like good health, family, being able to go to church. We don’t realize how blessed we are till something goes awry in our lives.

I was reading a devotion about ‘diligence’ while lying in bed, running fever and in the worst pain I’ve felt in a while. It talked about being diligent in reading God’s Word.

Quoting from a few passages, {“Diligence is something that can keep us on our feet.”

It stated, “If you haven’t already, you need to realize how important diligence is. You need to face the fact that you simply can’t live a life of victory without it.

You can’t stand strong on the Word of God and not pick your Bible up during the week. Sunday morning alone isn’t going to get the job done. Yet most believers try to get by on that. That’s precisely why we have thousands of churches all over the world filled with born-again people who don’t have enough faith to blow their hats off. No diligence.

Listen, this is a daily thing. The devil’s out there 24 hours a day devising ways to make us fall. Jesus is on the throne 24 hours a day giving us power to resist him, and we need to be exercising our faith all the time.

If you’re going to stand in the days ahead, you’re going to need a lot more than Sunday school faith. You’re going to need some full-grown, mountain-moving faith, and there’s only one way to get that: by giving yourself to the Word more diligently than you ever have before.

So do it. Give diligence to make your calling and election sure; and no matter how slippery the situation gets, you won’t have to fall!”}

Amen to that!!!

I’ve always been a lover of the Word. I watched my father growing up, get the old family Bible out and read passages from it for hours on end. It’s what kept him also that last month when he simply wasn’t able to make it to church anymore.

Come what may in our lives, we must have diligence if we are gonna see our Lord face-to-face. We can’t let any thing stand in our way of making it to our Heavenly Home. There is simply nothing in this world worth losing our soul over!

I admit this has been a very stressful busy few weeks for me. I’ve missed more church than I would have cared to. Working a job, planning my daughter’s baby shower, moving stuff back to her home and helping her get the baby nursery and her home ready for a new bundle of joy, 4-hour round trips back and forth between Mississippi and Louisiana, not getting much sleep while taking care of sick grand-babies all night, while giving them doses of medicine around the clock, (all with help, I might add! Thanks Susan, Sunshine and Kylie!) all while mommy was in labor, and even after mommy got home from hospital, taking one still sick grand-baby to doctor, taking new grand-baby for first check-up, taking daughter on a two-hour-round trip to take care of business and groceries and coming home in the same night (another 2 hour trip home), and then finally falling sick myself.

I’m really not complaining. I’m simply thankful for life. I’m glad that my daughter still has a mother around who is still living and able to help. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world! I didn’t get to share in these kinds of moments with my own mother passing from cancer when I was 15.

In saying all this, diligence had a lot to do with making it through all this. Yes, I may still be flat of my back, feverish, and my back has hurt me all night long, but it’s not the end of the world. I may be down, but I’m not out! Faith still here, diligence still here! His grace is enough.

I felt I needed to share this with someone today who is going through the fight of their life! You are never alone! Yes, you may feel alone and be the only person left in your family who is still attending church. Go anyway. Don’t let the little or big things stop you.

You may be facing sickness again, wondering if you will have to have those terrible treatments all over again. We simply can’t quit, come what may. When we are weak, He is strong!

Or maybe you are wondering where the money is going to come from to pay that bill.

Put God first. Don’t lose your faith! God will always make a way!

Stay strong. Stay in the Word. Pray. Build yourself up in the Holy Ghost. Not only build yourself up, but pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ. Be an encourager! And most of all, be diligent.

Have a blessed day!

He chose me to Follow Him Daily, because His Teaching is Daily. We must Eat His Word Daily. The more I eat the more I mature Spiritually. We are in a World of darkness, I personally was of this world, I can with Boldness say I’m No longer of this world.Because I’m a New Creature. We must Suffer for His Name Sake, and it doesn’t end there until Our LORD and SAVIOR Jesus Christ Returns. Hallelujah!! Joy!! I pray you are feeling better!! Do take care of You!!
